Summarizer

In the fourth fifth of broken soup Rowan found some letters in Jacks room. It was letters from Bee and Stroma. The relationship between Bee and Rowan are a bit tense after Rowan found out that Jack and Bee were a couple. But Rowan tries to make things right between her and Bee by keeping in touch. That Rowan brings back the love letters that Bee has written to Jack is one of her ways she keeps in touch. 

Harper visit Rowan at her place for the first time and Rowan shows him Jacks room. Jane, Rowans mother hear that a guy is in Jacks room and thinks that Jack’s back and that she has woke up from the nightmare that she has been dreaming for a long time. But when she sees that it is Harper and not Jack she gets very disappointed and sad again. When Rowan comes home from school the next day her mother has tried to make suicide and now she’s lying at the hospital.

I have chosen to talk about Rowan. I think Rowan is a very thoughtful and mature person. I think that because she takes care of her little sister and act like the mother in the family even if she only is sixteen years old. She always takes care of her little sister even if she has something important to do. Like when she talked with Bee about Jack, she didn’t want to take Stroma with her but she did it anyway because she thought of Stromas life before hers and she didn’t want to leave her alone with their mother.

I also think that Rowan is a bit jealous. Because when she founded out that Bee and Jack were a couple she got really angry. Maybe it was because Bee didn’t told her about their relationship but I think it was because she got jealous, jealous of the time Bee got with Jack in the end of his life. That was time Rowan wanted to have with him and that made her jealous I think.

Creative connector

When I read the first fifth of this book I connected it to the book/movie New moon. My connection is between Bella in New moon and Jane, Rowans mother. Bella gets depressed because Edward her boyfriend leaves her and Jane gets depressed because Jack dies. That one of the character is depressed in both books is one of my connections to New moon. The other one is that there’s a helper in both books. In New moon there is Jacob that helps Bella to feel good and he gets her on second thoughts.  And in our book ”Broken soup” Bee is the helper. I know that Bee doesn’t help Jane who is Bella in this book. But she helps Rowan and Rowan is affected by her mothers depression actually the whole family are affected by Jane’s depression and it drags the entire family down. In this book Bee gets Rowan on second thoughts and Rowan gets a rest from her mothers problem when she is with her friend Bee. 

Christmas traditions

Christmas is a very big swedish tradition. We celebrate christmas Eve the 24th December but it required many preparation. We decorate a christmas tree, make lucia safron buns and other christmas candy, we buy christmas gifts and make preparations for the christmas dinner that we eat at christmas eve. Like I said many preparations. That make the christmas a very stressful holiday, but of course a very funny and cozy holiday at the same time. Christmas Eve we usually celebrate with our family.

One other swedish tradition is that we usually eat rice pudding at christmas eve. We add a nut in the porridge that we share and the one how gets the nut will get married next year. One other tradition is of course that we have santa claus coming and bringing some Christmas gifts. That is a very happy and exiting thing for all the kids. But when the kids get older they starting to understand that santa claus doesn’t exist and that it only is a parent or a friend that dress up as santa claus. The line the person usually use when they get away to dress up as santa is ”I'll just go out and buy the paper”. When santa comes with the gifts they often have a rhyme on it. Thats also a swedish tradition I think. 

Short love story

Four days was all it took for me to fall I love with him. He did everything right. At day five everything changed. When we met in the morning he gave me a hug and told me that I was his best friend. Best friend? I thought we were a couple. Then I saw him run to my neighbour who was my best friend. He had just used me to come near her.

Work experience

I had my work experience at a daycare. It was the the daycare I went to when I was a little kid. My day started half past 8 every morning. When I came, the last kids ate there breakfast and the kids who already had eaten started to dress for go out. Outside we played. Some times we played hide and seek and some times we just played with the sand in the sandbox. Even if I played with the kids so had I also a responsibility. I needed to look after the kids while I played with them. I didn’t needed to play with them but I thought it was fun and I think that they thought so to. 

We went inside about 10 a’clock. Inside we splitted us up into 3 smaller groups. In the smaller groups we did some exercises to learn, it was all from learn to write to make patterns.

Around half past 11 the kids ate. I didn’t ate with the kids instead I went home to eat my lunch. When I came back quarter past 12 the kids rested and listened to a book. After a while we went out again and did the some things that we did on the morning.

2 a’clock we went inside again and the kids got to do what they wanted. We also ate one more meal before I went home 3 a’clock.

I always was very exhausted when I came home from the daycare. We were out so mush and all the loud noises made me very tiered. But I had a lot of fun and I learn a lot. Not only things that I can take advantage of if I some day work at a daycare. I also learned thing a can take advantage of in the future if I some day get kids.

Questions and answers

Answer to question 2: If your father is so strict to you I think it’s because he doesn’t know what he should allow and doesn’t allow. If you don’t are allowed to do something and you do it anyway maybe you feel a little excitement and in the end maybe you just do it to defy your father. So I think you have to talk to your father and tell him that your friends are allowed to do things witch your not. Maybe he thinks it's a lie but then you have to tell him about the excitement you feel. In the end maybe you and your father can put up the rules together so both of you will be satisfied.

Friendship

A good friend is someone that I can trust, like when I tell that person a secret I’m must know that it is going to stay between us. I can tell a good friend everything and I know that the person is going to listen and be there for me. And it’s of course really important that I have fun with that person and that we do a lot of things with each other.

 It doesn’t have to be a bad thing if we fight. It can turn into a good thing, maybe we realize that we need each other and maybe we are even better friends afterwards. A good friend I  have memories to share with. Memories that make us laugh and smile. That is a good friend for me.

Today I have felt that I am a dog and it is horrible. My skin has been scratching the whole day. I have been a bad person to everyone. Because I have only thought of Dot, about kissing Dot and about surfing with Dot. Like when I would meet Egg and do the speech for the meeting I didn’t show up. And when mum asked me to help I didn’t do it. And I was really mean to Philip. Maybe I can't be together with Dot she just drives me crazy. I think i need to break up with her.

Summarizer

It is a play in Indigos school. Where they test with a audition who will play the different roles. Jo indigos best friend really wants one of the roles but she doesn’t get one. But Indigo get one of the roles. That don’t do Jo and Indigos friendship better. As already was bad. Indigos mum doesn't feel good at all she only lie in her bed all day. They haven’t any money to get some food because Anna doesn't work. But lucky them they have Anna's friend Jane that help them and do that Anna feel better and give them some food to eat.

Goldilocks and the three bears

Once upon a time it was a little girl that called Goldilocks. She loved to be in the woods and if she was hungry there she would eat some wild strawberries and if she was tired she would sleep on the dry moss. One day when she was out in the wood she found a little cottage in the wood. She went in to the cottage and called `Is anybody home´ but nobody answered her. She was so hungry and she saw the porridge on the table. First she sat down on the father bears chair but that chair was to big then she sat down on the mother bears chair that was also to big. Then she sat down on the baby bears chair that was to small. So she stand up and eat. But then she was tired so she slept in the baby bears bed. Because mother and father bears beds was to big. When the bears came home Goldilocks still slept. When she woke up the bears looked at her so she run home the fastest she could.
